ANNIE HEILBRUNN

​Annie is a print and multimedia journalist with The San Diego Union-Tribune and a five-time Emmy winner for Sports Storytelling, On-Air Talent, and Journalistic Enterprise. Her work spans radio, television, and live sports coverage, including hosting a daily four-hour sports talk show on 97.3 The Fan, titled "Annie & Elsten," and serving as a field and sideline reporter and host for Bally Sports and Fox Sports. Among other sports, she has covered the Padres, MLB, and the NFL in depth, and has appeared as an anchor for NBC and a correspondent on NBC’s Football Night in San Diego.

A strong reporter who loves getting her hands on a good story, Annie values the professional relationships she’s built with players, coaches, and sources. She’s known for delivering everything from witty, entertaining interviews to emotional, revealing conversations with athletes. Her focus is always on seeing players as people first.
